This Policy applies together with the consent controls described. The implementation must prevent non-essential loads before the choice and allow rejection and withdrawal; the Policy does not by itself attest to the configuration of those controls.
1. Purpose and scope
This Policy explains how TERAL S.A.S. uses cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, SDKs and equivalent technologies on teral.ai, chat.teral.ai and the web routes that expressly link to this version. It does not by itself govern clinical processing, nor does it replace the Privacy Policy, the Terms or an authorization for sensitive data.
2. Who manages these technologies
TERAL S.A.S. determines the purposes of cookies, analytics, forms, account and security on its own surfaces and acts as Controller of that processing. Providers that perform these functions under documented instructions act as processors. Where a surface processes clinical data on behalf of an institution or professional, the role is additionally governed by the applicable contract and DPA.

4. Controlled inventory: current inventory of teral.ai
Current inventory of teral.ai, maintained from the site's code. Durations correspond to the expiry each technology sets in the browser, not to retention commitments on servers. A new version or configuration may change them. The inventory for chat.teral.ai is published at chat.teral.ai/cookies.

Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity, observed on October 1, 2026 on the chat.teral.ai sign-in page, never existed on teral.ai and have been removed from the application. Their remnants in the browser (_fbp, _fbc, _clck and _clsk) are deleted when you visit the site.
5. User choice
On the first visit, TERAL will offer equivalent options to Accept all, Reject non-essential and Configure preferences. There will be no pre-ticked boxes and no consent through browsing, scrolling or inactivity. The choice may be changed or withdrawn from a permanent footer link named “Cookie preferences”.

6. Recording and retention of the choice
TERAL will keep evidence of the notice version, date/time/time zone, categories accepted or rejected, any change or withdrawal, and a minimal identifier of the choice. The preference will be kept for a maximum of six months, unless withdrawn or materially changed earlier. Proof of the choice will be kept for as long as necessary to demonstrate the authorized processing and to meet applicable obligations or claims, with restricted access and without reuse for marketing.
7. Providers and transfers
Loading Google, Meta and Microsoft technologies may communicate data to providers operating outside Colombia. TERAL must document the contracting entities, their role, applicable locations, terms, purposes and legal mechanism before enabling the processing. The observed domain does not by itself prove the country of storage. Nor does the expiry of a cookie amount to the deletion of data retained by a provider.
8. Browsers and signals
Browser controls may block or delete cookies, but they do not replace the options offered by TERAL. Where technology and jurisdiction so require, TERAL will assess universal privacy signals and equivalent opt-out mechanisms.
9. Changes
TERAL will version this Policy and update its effective date when purposes, providers, categories or technologies change. If the change materially affects the choice, it will request a new decision before activating non-essential technologies.

11. Effective date and publication control
Version 1.2, dated October 1, 2026. It takes effect upon actual publication, without retroactive effect. TERAL will update the inventory upon changes in technology or purpose and will maintain its blocking, rejection and withdrawal controls. The observed expiry of a cookie is not equivalent to the retention period of data on servers.
